If you’re planning a long-distance hike or ride along the
PCT, The Pacific Crest Trail Guidebooks (link to the guidebooks
in the store) (published by Wilderness Press in three volumes)
are absolutely essential. They contain maps, detailed route
descriptions, information about water sources and resupply
options, and much more.
Additional maps, how-to books and journals are also available
and may help you better know what to expect during your journey.
You’ll find information about such books in this section and
in our store. (link to our store)
For more personal assistance, join the E-mail Forum (also
known as the PCT-L).
This independent forum boasts an ongoing discussion of everything
PCT – from bears and blisters to GPS devices and nutrition.
Or, get some one-on-one coaching from a Mentor.
These volunteers and PCT veterans are ready to help so drop
them a line.
And finally, when it comes time to figuring out how to get
to the trailhead, we have some information on public transportation.
