Friday March 27:

7:00 p.m. - Enjoy a free special presentation from David “The Runner” Horton who ran the entire 2,650-mile PCT in 2005. Presentation to be followed by Trail Fest’s annual tradition of Trail Stories.
Saturday March 28:
8:00 a.m. Doors open; Registration & Vendor Fair begin
9:00 a.m. Classes and workshops begin
Saturday March 28, evening:
7:00 p.m. Celebrate the accomplishments of PCTA volunteers, members, friends, and partners at our annual Awards Dinner featuring Keynote Speaker Mark Larabee. Pre-registration is required.
Dinner at 7:00 p.m., no-host bar/social hour prior
Sunday, March 29:
Local Outings!  Enjoy the wildflowers on the Eagle Creek hike or explore the urban wonders of Portland.  Pre-registration is required.

 

Saturday Awards Dinner Keynote Speaker

Mark LarabeeMark Larabee, 46, is a Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter for The Oregonian, Oregon's largest daily newspaper. In 2005, Larabee and photographer Ian Malkasian walked across Oregon on the Pacific Crest Trail to chronicle the environmental and financial challenges facing the trail. His 13-part series and daily blog captured the beauty of the wilderness, the kindness of people, and the incredible mental challenge of long-distance hiking. Larabee lives in Portland Oregon with his wife, Carol Sim, and their yellow lab, Hallie.

 

Free Friday Evening Presentation

David HortonDon’t miss this inspirational evening presentation by David “The Runner” Horton, Ph.D., who ran the entire 2,650-mile Pacific Crest Trail in 2005; running more than 40 miles per day for 66 consecutive days to complete the PCT in record time. Horton is Professor of Health Sciences & Kinesiology, at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, and featured in the award-winning documentary, The Runner.
