postholer.com/Crotalus09 There comes a time in most people's lives when big changes are imminent, that time came for me about 3 years ago when I graduated college. I (being the procrastinator that I am) have managed to put it off for a while, but that time has come again, and doing this trail is my way of kicking it off. I am ready to shed my old skin and start anew. I plan to return from my thru-hike a better, stronger, wiser man, more determined than ever to make a difference in the causes that matter most to me.
postholer.com/cloxdog I'm a 2009 PCT hopeful and I'll be hiking northbound starting on April 27th. In 2007 I drove from San Diego to Bremerton, WA along the great trail I-5. I didn't see enough country then, so I'm walking it now... Mexico to Canada on that even greater trail, the PCT.
ultimatetrailhiker.com In 2009 Boots will journey 2650-miles on The Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail. You can follow the journey and join the adventure by visiting the Ultimate Trail Hiker web site. Once there read commentary, view the photo galleries, or communicate with Boots directly. Inspiration for my PCT adventures came from reading the 1971 National Geographic story title "Mexico To Canada On The Pacific Crest Trail".
manandmule.com Planned Date of Hike: 7/1/09 to 10/15/09 I plan on starting in Sister OR and heading south to Big Bear. I hope you enjoy reading about my preparations and can post my journal. I update it every couple days and will do so from the trail.
My husband and I are planning on hiking the PCT starting April 2009. Until then, we're training, buying all new ultralight gear and planning our trip. It's our first time undertaking a hike of this magnitude. Our site is updated almost daily with video and pictures. We have a SPOT location map so you can follow us along our journey and produce a podcast once a week that you can subscribe to for free.
teamcreason.blogspot.com My husband Reason (Todd DeLuca) and I hiked in 2008. We left the Mexican border on April 1 and reached the Canadian border and Manning Park on September 17. We completed a thru-hike with the exception of the section between Quincy and Chester which was closed due to fire.
postholer.com/danirsch I started my hike April 16 and finished September 7, 2008. I arrived at Monument 78 on August 27; however, I went back to NoCal to hike the sections I had missed previously due to fire closures. Thus after roughly six more hiking days I finished my thru-hike in Seiad Valley on September 7.

web.mac.com/aandanealyonthego We began our journey on April 15th 2008 down in Campo, CA and working our way to Canada. We began in true thru-hiker style but slowly became section hikers skipping around fires and accommodating our time restraints. In the end we will still complete roughly 2000 miles and someday will return to the sections we had to skip. But for now we are “Hiking our own Hike” to Canada and hope to be there Sept. 1.

garrettspctexperience.com My name is Garrett Hebert, and I'll be starting the trail in May of 09. My website has a lot of information about me, what I'm doing to train and prepare, and when I begin people will be able to track my progress and read my journal. One of my biggest challenges will be getting in shape. I am currently in the worst shape of my life, and I will need to get in the best shape of my life before I begin. Thanks for looking!
sustainedmotion.typepad.com I am planning a thru hike of the PCT starting June 21st, 2008. In the past year I've been traveling in Europe, Nepal and certain sections of the US. I plan to update my journal every few days as I progress north to Canada.
scratchdent.blogspot.com/ Our names are Kristi and Travis, currently in between homes and jobs. We came from Eugene, OR. and will end up in Bend, OR. at the end of the summer. The journal will detail our hike from Siead Valley, CA. to Cascade Locks, OR. We have no time limit, and are the kind of hikers that would go 10 miles out of our way for a beer or a better view. We adopted Scratch and Dent as trail names because of Travis' skill at acquiring gear at the REI sales, and my penchant for falling down and getting scraped, bashed, or bruised in some way. I'll update Blogs day by day when we have wireless access.
nateaneeljmt08.blogspot.com My name is Nathan Granillo and I will be hiking the John Muir Trail section of the PCT from 6/16/08 to 6/25/08.

jeffrospct.comMy name is Jeff Ford and in 2007 I hiked the PCT from the California border with Mexico to Goverment Camp Oregon. The hike lasted from April 1 to September 29th and covered 2,000 trail miles. The PCT was the adventure of a lifetime. I plan to return to the PCT in summer of 2008 and head South from Canada.
We completed our PCT hike on September 11, 2007. It was a two-summers adventure - beginning on May 9, 2006, south of Compo, CA.
In the first "chunk" we hiked from the Mexican border to I-80 in about three months. On May 30, 2007 we resumed our three and one-half months journey north to the Canadian border. What a thrill for us (Slim was
64 years old and Mona Lisa is 61 years old) to complete the PCT. We have hundreds of photos, dozens of new friendships, and a life time of memories.
Initially, we had great trepidation about the challenge of the PCT.
Could we do it? But, as the saying goes, "Do the the thing you fear the most and the death of fear is certain." In the summer of 2008, we will begin hiking the Continental Divide Trail. Wish us luck since we still have the same trepidation.
You can reach us by email: artnmotion@maine.rr.com Todd and Kaye Russell Great Falls, Montana

trailjournals.com/entry.cfm?trailname=5816 Come follow Dan as his dad journals his journey northbound on the pct. He will be hiking from April 5th till July 1st and then from August 10th till Canada. Will the desert be dry? Will there be snow up high? Danger? Adventure? A show of courage? Or maybe the most uneventful 2,665 miles you have ever read about? Dan is out there looking for something so let us hope it isn't lying at mile 2,670.
trailjournals.com/voyageur This 2007 thru-hike will begin on May 10th. By the end of my 2004 AT thru-hike the PCT was inevitable. With decades of backpacking under these feet, there is just no no way to stop. The deserts of Southern California will surely push this New Hampshire bread hiker a bit beyond his comfort zone. Can't wait.

johnathanwhite.com The quest to turn dreams into reality, to me, is what life is about. The Pacific Crest Trail to me is a dream that was unimaginable at one point in my life. With the support of the Lord, my wife, my children, my friends, and even my manager, I am going to embark on this dream that I never thought possible.
bluceree.blogspot.com/ This is Pygmy's third consecutive year on the PCT. He will pick the trail up from Tahoe and continue north bound with Canada being the goal for 2007. Since Pygmy left Hawaii in '05 he has set up two Kung Fu schools and written a book "The Centerline-Wing Chun Kung Fu" during the off season. Bizarre, off-beat left field journalism. Aloha!
trailjournals.com/teatree07 This is Teatree's 2nd jaunt on the PCT (she thru-hiked in 2003). This year she is hoping to raise funds for Gilda's Club of Madison WI in the name of her father, Christopher Brown, who just passed away from cancer in October. Follow Teatree's high's and low's as she deals with her fears, her emotions and see where her adventurous spirit takes her this time.
postholer.com/discodan Having thru-hiked the AT in 2001, I’m excited about my PCT thru-hike this year. I am a Native Texan but ended up marrying someone from New York, so I now call Coxsackie, NY home. My trail name is DiscoDan, and no, I can’t dance. I fully expect my hike will exceed my wildest expectations and I look forward to the challenges that lay ahead. Best of luck to all of the ’07 hikers!

http://www.walkingforwalden.com/ Denise Hill (Ladybug) thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail in 2004 to honor her sister's memory. Cheryl Rose Walden died from breast cancer in 1998 at the tender age of 44. Denise raised money for Hospice of Cincinnati and is continuing her charity work by hiking the PCT in 2006. She will turn 50 on "Naked Hiker's Day" (June 21st) and will celebrate her 25th wedding anniversary somewhere on the trail with her husband, Bruce.
