The Pacific Crest Trail Association's Trail Fest is an opportunity for members and non-members to learn more about the trail and how to get the most out of recreational and volunteer experiences on it. The 2008 Trail Fest was a great success - check out the photos below!
Friday Night Presentation

Donna Saufley took attendees down memory lane as she narrated “A Decade for the National Trails” in celebration of our 40th Anniversary. After the presentation Yogi led a great evening of Trail Stories.

Saturday attendees were greeted by PCTA staffers as well as loyal volunteers at the Registration Table.

Annual Awards Dinner
Keynote Speaker Arlene Blum, chemist, author, and mountaineer shared her story of leading the first American—and all-women’s—ascent of Annapurna, considered one of the world’s most dangerous and difficult mountains, as well as the first women’s team up Mt. McKinley; was the first American woman to attempt Mt. Everest; made the first traverse of the Great Himalaya Range of Bhutan, Nepal and India; and hiked the length of the European Alps with her baby daughter on her back.
