Be outdoors. Play in the dirt. Sleep under the stars.
“My thru-hike of the Pacific Crest Trail was the most profound, moving experience of my life. I volunteer in tribute to the trail's role in shaping the person I've become and for the positive impact it will have in other people's lives.”
On journeys long and short, hikers and horseback riders pass through many of America’s wilderness crown jewels along the Pacific Crest Trail.
But the trail is about more than mountains and geography. It’s about people and the idea that we, as a society, can preserve our most wild and beautiful places so that future generations can see what we have seen and feel what we have felt. The Pacific Crest Trail Association is singularly focused on keeping this path wild and open for future generations.
