Stehekin ‘Officer in Charge ‘ Jonathan Scherer writes with the new P.O. hours.
After facing the threat of closure, the remote Stehekin, Wash. post office will stay open and is settling in to new hours. From May 1st – October 15th, they will be open:
- Monday – Friday: 10-4:30 pm (Hikers arriving on the 4pm bus will be able to pick up their packages.)
- Saturday: 11-1 pm
Stehekin, well loved by PCT hikers, is also famous for it’s mail art, including it’s beautiful project of wooden post cards.
