Seeking PCT thru-hikers to test KEEN socks

This call for testers is now closed.

Dear PCT Class of 2013,

Our friends at KEEN are looking for 12 PCT thru-hikers from the Class of 2013 to test out their new Olympus sock, an ultra-durable hiking sock.

Here’s what they have to say about it:

The Olympus sock is tough enough to withstand wear on long trails like the PCT, and comes with a Guaranteed for Life warranty. KEEN is so confident in its construction, if any pair of Olympus socks wear out, KEEN will replace them for free.

The Olympus sock is both durable and comfortable, with moisture-wicking, non-itch merino wool, and comes in lite and medium weights, making it a perfect companion for your feet on the PCT. The toe and heel of each sock are reinforced with Dura-Zone™, a patented high-tenacity fiber proven to be 15 times stronger than steel, making the Olympus mighty enough for the toughest trails.

keensockIf you’re planning to hike this year, KEEN would love to hear feedback on how the Olympus performed during your adventure on the PCT. They will supply the dozen testers with plenty of socks for their entire hike.

[Application period is now closed.] If you are thru-hiking the PCT and are interested in reporting your test results, please email Jack Haskel, Trail Information Specialist at the Pacific Crest Trail Association, at [email protected]. Write “socks” in the subject line. If you have a blog or social media presence, please include a link to it. If you’re attending Kick Off, tell us that too.

The deadline to apply is Sunday, April 7th. We will notify testers and announce who was chosen by April 12th.
