We’re thrilled that you’re here.

Ten years after launching our last website, we were ready for something new. We built it entirely ourselves – staff, partners and volunteers focused on the task. Last year you told us what you wanted on our site – over 1,000 people provided input in a few days. Since late summer, we’ve been coding, collecting photos, writing and tweaking.

It wasn’t easy. Truthfully, we’ve been putting it off for years – focusing instead on the monumental task of protecting, preserving and promoting the trail. We think you’ll learn about us, and the trail, like never before. Click around. You can read for hours.

Share it with your friends. And come back, we’re far from finished.

We love:

  • Our project schedule: It’s now far, far easier to join one of our many volunteer projects. As it warms up, many more projects will be posted.
  • The ‘our work’ section: Learn about what we do – it’s a lot.
  • Our donation page!
