2014 Mt. Hood Chapter Annual Meeting

Come celebrate the Wilderness Act’s 50th Anniversary!

We have a panel of experts to share the Forest Service perspectives of Wilderness, Trails, and the 50th Anniversary of the Wilderness Act. Come hear:

  • Claire Lavendel, Pacific Northwest Region Director of Recreation, Lands, Minerals,
  • Fred Way, Regional Trails and Dispersed Recreation Program Manager, and
  • Garth Smelser, Deputy Forest Supervisor on the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. They will tell us about the past and future of the Wilderness in our backyard!

The Mt. Hood Chapter will also be providing beverages and snacks for your enjoyment! We will also have a presentation about our work on the trail this past year. Come learn what’s happening on the PCT! The event is free.
