New walk-in group campsite at Mazama Campground, Crater Lake

We’re thrilled to announce the opening of a new place to rest your head in Crater Lake National Park. Mazama Campground now has two new group campsites for walk-in hikers/bikers.

The sites are equipped with picnic tables, fire rings, and they’re close to shower facilities, the restaurant and camp store. Camping is $5 per person per night. Space available on a first come/first served basis. They’re perfect for PCT hikers.

Mazama Campground is in Mazama Village, near Annie Spring Entrance Station. Campers should check in at the Mazama Camper Store, behind Annie Creek Restaurant.

The new camping area was created through the collaboration between the staff at Crater Lake National Park, PCTA’s Ian Nelson (Big Bend Regional Representative), Xanterra Parks & Resort, the Crater Lake Youth Conservation Corps and the U.S. Forest Service.
