Launching #PacificCrestTrail live; our awesome new aggregator

We just launched #PacificCrestTrail live, a cool new way to explore the PCT experience. It’s a real-time, cross-platform feed of what’s happening on the trail.

We’re constantly struck by how amazing you all are. People are taking beautiful pictures, writing interesting words, making great videos and having life changing experiences. We want to shine a headlamp on all of your greatness. We hope #PacificCrestTrail live can help you discover each other.

Come on over to #PacificCrestTrail live

  • Discover who’s out there and in PCT cyberspace. See what others are seeing and hear what they’re talking about.
  • Connect with each other. Gather around the #PacificCrestTrail hashtag. Have a conversation around the virtual campfire.
  • Build the Pacific Crest Trail community. Share, interact, and be generous and kind.

What’s a #hashtag? Putting the number sign in front of a word, or in our case, #PacificCrestTrail, creates a conversation around a topic. When you see a hashtag, click on it and see all of the other posts.

Currently, #PacificCrestTrail live pulls from Twitter and Instagram. We’ll see about adding more channels later. Remember also that The Journalist is aggregating PCT journals. It’s a wonderful read.

Pacific Crest Trail hashtag aggregator

We’ve been using the #PacificCrestTrail live hashtag aggregator for a few weeks and think that it’s pretty cool.
