Our friends at KEEN and Gregory are looking to support 12 PCT thru-hikers from the class of 2014 by providing socks and packs to get them through their PCT adventure. If you’re planning to hike this year, KEEN would love to make you one of their “dirty dozen.”
Twelve thru-hikers each will get a dozen pairs of Keen Olympus socks. The Olympus is a lightweight, durable, comfortable hiking sock that comes in lefts and rights, because you don’t have two left feet. The Keen seam (called the Wunderseam) goes under your toes, helping to eliminate hot spots and prevent blisters. Gregory wants to fit twelve people with packs. The Z55 (or women’s J53) is their recommended PCT thru-hiking pack, as it loses a few crucial ounces while keeping a feature set not found on other light hiking packs. Or, feel free to choose any pack from the Gregory line.

KEEN handed out hundreds of socks to PCT thru-hikers last year. We’re pretty excited about having Gregory handing over good stuff too in 2014.
If you are thru-hiking the PCT and are looking for a few good socks or a great pack to wear, use the form below to tell us “pick me!” [The application period is now closed.] If you have a blog or social media presence, please include a link to it. Gregory and KEEN would love some social media ‘thank you’s’ as your summer’s dirty patina builds. Thanks to Gregory and KEEN for supporting our work on the trail and for helping out some of the class of 2014! The deadline to apply is Sunday, March 23. We will notify the lucky few and announce who was chosen by April 1.
