Congratulations to @bearclaaw on officially completing her #thruhike of the #PacificCrestTrail! And a big thanks to her for letting us be a part of her journey! Through her hike, April also raised $2,000 for the @pctassociation who’s mission is to protect, preserve and promote the trail. “I am very proud to say that as of today I am officially a thru-hiker. I have officially hiked 2,668 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada. On August 23rd I arrived in Canada, but still had 240-miles left in Oregon to make the hike an official thru-hike. I had a relapse of Giardia that prolonged completing this last section. During this hike I’ve had Giardia twice; lost 32-pounds; lost 6-toe nails; have achilles tendonitis on both ankles; plantar fasciitis; bursitis; and an injured back. All miles are connected and no sections of the trail skipped. I tolerated the pain because the goal was still in sight and I could manage the pain and still reach my goal. I did it.” ~April
