Fifteen scholarships available for youth interested in National Trails System leadership

Fifteen youth scholarships are available for this summer’s National Scenic and Historic Trails Conference in Franklin, TN from June 27th-July 1st, 2015. Join PCTA, the PNTS and many other organizations in the National Trails System.

In order to encourage young adults to become more involved in the National Trails System, multiple agencies will fund scholarships for young leaders to attend the conference. Youth participants will be an active part of the dialogue about outreach and the future of these trails. Selected participants should come ready to explore, learn, and engage.

These Trail Apprentice scholarships will be available for youth between the ages of 18 and 25 years of age with an interest in the National Trails System. Although it is preferred, no prior experience with the National Trails System is necessary. Interested applicants can apply for the scholarship here. Scholarships include the cost of travel, full registration, and meals. The application deadline is May 5th, 2015.
