New trail recipes book: What’s Cooking on the PCT 2015

Rainman’s new book What’s Cooking on the PCT 2015 is a collection of on-trail recipes – a PCT community cookbook. It’s full of fun and interesting food concoctions, some you’d never think would work.

What's cooking on the PCT.

What’s cooking on the PCT.

Rainman was curious to learn more about all the delicious dishes he was hearing about while he was out hiking the PCT this past season. This, coupled with his entrepreneurial spirit and his love of the trail, drove him to create this project. He set out to gather recipes from fellow PCTers – hikers, trail angels, friends, family, etc. –  and he put them all together. He hopes it will become an annual publication.

This first book contains around 40 recipes – everything from snacks and side dishes to desserts and main dishes. The recipes are easy to make, light to pack, high in calories and delicious.

The great thing is that Rainman is donating half of his profits to the Pacific Crest Trail Association to support our mission to protect, preserve and promote the Pacific Crest Trail. So take a look at his book – your book – our PCT community cookbook.

It’s $9.99 and available on his website, on Amazon.com, and on his publisher’s website.
