A PCT photo show at the University of Oregon School of Law

The University of Oregon School of Law is hosting a Pacific Crest Trail photo show through August 15. Ed Pabor‘s “Hiking Cascadia: Photos Along the Pacific Crest Trail” features 32 large, framed-matted photographs of the trail.

Pull your smartphone out of your pocket. Scanning QR codes near the photos will zoom you right onto the trail inside of Google Earth.

At a Friday, March 4 reception, meet Ed Pabor while sipping on light refreshments. It runs from 6-8pm. The reception and show are located at the University of Oregon Law School, 1515 Agate Street, Eugene, Oregon.

Ed says, “we are blessed with the simple, pristine and sublime majesty of the Pacific Crest Trail.  It is a wilderness trail over 2,500 miles of mountains, glaciers, valleys, deserts, rivers, and lakes.  You grasp the magnitude of the vision of Muir, Roosevelt, and Pinchot in protecting these areas for the sake of the planet and the whole of humanity.”

“I consider myself lucky to have witnessed so much majesty that we have on the Pacific Crest Trail.”

Check out some of Ed Pabor’s photos of the Pacific Crest Trail on his website.

In conjunction with the photo show and the Public Interest Environmental Law Conference, PCTA’s mid-Oregon volunteer chapter will be tabling and speaking about the PCT. Look for our very own Bill Carpenter and volunteer stewards and be sure to say ‘hi’! Most of the conference takes place in Knight Hall on the University of Oregon campus. Click here for directions. The conference runs March 3-6.
