Introducing The Unity Blaze

Black Folks Camp Too is an organization whose mission is to promote unity in the outdoors while getting more of the Black community out enjoying nature. Created by founder Earl B. Hunter, Jr. and Steven Reinhold, the Unity Blaze is a symbol of respect and acceptance that means “Treat everyone, everywhere, equally.”

Sales of the Unity Blaze (available as a decal, on t-shirts, and as an adhesive patch that can be used to repair gear) directly support efforts to get more Black folks and other people of color into the outdoors—as well as increasing diversity in the outdoor industry workforce. In this video, Earl and Steven explain why the Unity Blaze is important. The Pacific Crest Trail Association is grateful for the opportunity to support the Unity Blaze and the initiative behind it.
