PCTA will not participate in PCT Days due to concerns about rising Covid cases

Out of an abundance of caution, the PCTA will not participate in PCT Days this weekend, August 20-22.

We made this difficult decision based on rapidly rising Covid cases in Oregon and nationwide—and the extreme transmissibility of the Delta variant. Throughout the pandemic, our top priority has been the safety and well-being of our staff, volunteers and the entire PCT community.

We know the organizers of PCT Days have taken every possible precaution to ensure the safety of attendees and are working closely with Hood River County public health officials. We urge everyone who attends to follow all Covid guidelines at the event. Stay at least 6 feet away from others whenever possible, and we recommend wearing a mask at all times. Most importantly, Covid vaccines will be available at the event—if you have not been vaccinated, please take advantage of this opportunity to do so.
