About Abbie Nypaver

Abbie grew up in central Ohio, and from an early age, her parents fostered a love of the outdoors by taking her primitive camping in Southern Ohio. In 2017, she graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Chemical Engineering. Since then, Abbie has solo thru-hiked the Appalachian and Arizona trails and the Pacific Crest Trail. While she will always enjoy engineering-type problem-solving, she is very passionate about working in the backcountry to help preserve our outdoor spaces. In addition to long walks, Abbie enjoys rock climbing, knitting, reading, and riding her bike.
