Office and event volunteers

PCTA office volunteer boardBesides playing in the dirt and sleeping under the stars, here are some other ways to volunteer for the trail that you love. To become involved, please email us at [email protected] or call us at 916-285-1838.

Office and Administration

We’re always looking for new volunteers to assist with data entry, mailings, filing, permits, medals and various other projects at the PCTA headquarters in Sacramento, California. The office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and has beautiful views of the Sacramento River.

PCTA’s Tabling Program and Events

Occasionally we reach out to volunteers for help at events throughout California, Oregon and Washington. From ushering at movie screenings to organizing Trail Skills Colleges, volunteering for the PCTA is always fun. Visit our events page for a list of some of our upcoming events. If you’d like to get involved in those events, check out the volunteer schedule for opportunities.

The PCTA’s Tabling Program is focused on building a stronger community to protect, preserve, and promote the Pacific Crest Trail through awareness and education. Through this program, volunteers set up “tables” at public events like fairs and festivals where they can spread awareness about the trail and the Association. Before tabling events, volunteers have access to training and a kit of professional display materials. Tabling Volunteers and Outreach Coordinators work together with PCTA staff to make these events successful.

To learn more about the program, read the PCTA’s Tabling Guidebook.
