Yakima Pass area brushed
On July 22th and 24th the PCTA North 350 Blades were out with their power tools mowing down brush. Their work site found them at PCT mile 2391, just south of Yakima Pass on Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. For two beautiful days they cleared about 1900 feet of trail.

2013 Northern California PCT fire restrictions
The U.S. Forest Service and National Park Service have released restrictions that essentially ban campfires, restrict smoking and certain types of stoves on much of the Pacific Crest Trail, even with a campfire permit.
